Everything in this establishment was spot on amazing. The food, clean atmosphere, friendly and quick professional staff. Made you feel like a king in here.
The food was delicious all from the Beef Carpaccio, Duck, to the Chocolate Cake.
Great assortment of wines imported from the best of Italy and France.
Well worth a nice night out with your significant other or family if you want a taste of the finer side of life.
One, if not, THE BEST Italian restaurant that i have ever eaten at. Everything was super fresh and so delicious… definitely a returning costumer every time I can..
THE BEST! Last year we found this restaurant on Google on our way through Waco. We stopped again a year later and it tasted just as amazing as we remembered. The food and service are both quality and top notch. Highly recommend the vongole or the pomedero with rigatoni noodles instead. Their side salads are delicious as well! Do yourself a favor & eat here!
First time in Waco and we decided to give this Italian restaurant a try bc their ratings on Yelp are rlly high. However, as a person that has visited over 100 Italian restaurants across the globe (mainly in NYC) I was a little disappointed by the quality of the food they delivered - never been served a raw duck!!
We arrived on a Saturday night and the restaurant was quite busy. There were no tables available for the next hour so we took the bar seats (still full menu). The interior designs and settings of the restaurant was pretty hip and nice. I would assume it’s a popular date night restaurant for people who live in and around the small town.
For entrees, we ordered a duck (it looked quite good in pics) and two pastas (both half sized). I think it's great that they offer half-sized pasta option so you could order more flavors and share with the table. Pastas was really basic : the pesto was ok but the Alfredo sauce was not as good.
I was really excited about the duck that’s the reason I wanted to visit this restaurant. However, when it first came it was super raw and I even had difficult time cutting it. (Side not: the server did not ask for my preference when placing the order and went straight to offer the medium rare, and it actually looked “almost” rare) I asked our server to see if they could reheat it and make into a medium. At first, they told me that’s how it should be, but honestly, if Gordon Ramsay tried this dish, he would have said “this duck is so raw!!! It’s still crossing the road!!!”.
Anyways, they reheated my duck and it tasted better after being cooked to almost medium. I would still say this was definitely not one of the best ducks I’ve had and considering the cost of living here, it’s a bit overpriced.
Service-wise, I would expect better communication between the server and customers. They forgot to add shrimps to our pasta and did not check how we wanted the duck cooked. The manager did come out to check if the reheated duck tasted better but that’s about it.
The food came out wonderful. From the appetizer to dessert it was pleasurable. Our waitress was friendly and more then happy to accommodate us. The bartender was more than willing to experiment with us on a drink and expand on their already very pleasant drink menu. The pizza had the perfect crust, Lil bit chewy and crispy on the bottom. The jalapeño cheesecake was amazing. Creamy and sweet with a touch of hot. Very well balanced. We will most definitely be back!
Food was very nice. We had a great waiter, Rico. Loved the New York strip, potato soup and tiramisu!
While the atmosphere is a delightfully classy and the service is top notch, the true star of DiCampli's is the exquisite cuisine. The ravioli managed to be both rich and delicate. My party shared appetizers and desserts...all six dishes were incredible. Beautiful presentation as well.
I have been several times since they opened & food & service are always GREAT!! Took my family 11/12 for dinner. The only bad thing is that so many people go now you almost have to have a reservation. They told us it would be a 30 min wait …
